Free Training Sessions

We provide free half day course suitable for everyone who engages with smokers and their families, to give advice and empower them to make informed choices, and to refer them on to Newcastle Stop Smoking + Service where necessary. It may be possible to arrange a Brief Advice session in your workplace.

Social Services

We work alongside social services by offering to train their staff in brief advice or offer them the chance to become intermediate Stop Smoking Advisors.
We will also take referrals from social services for any Newcastle residents.

We work alongside many mental health workers in Newcastle supporting those with mental health issues to set quit dates to try and stop smoking.

We have recently trained school nurses in Newcastle so they can now offer stop smoking support to high school children throughout Newcastle.

Street Wise work with 11 - 25 years old through Newcastle. Street Wise will soon have trained staff that can support those under the age of 25 in making quit attempts.

Midwives in Newcastle are currently trained in brief advice to be able to support pregnant women, family members and friends to make an appropriate referral to the Newcastle Stop Smoking + Service and other areas in the region.
